This is the last season of Chuck. And because next week is finally the end, it got me thinking about the past four years. The actors of Chuck drawing us in week after week. The endless ‘Save Chuck’ Campaigns, the auctions, the meet-ups, Comic-Cons. The buying of all Chuck shirts, DVDs, magazines (even with only mentions of Chuck,) posters, and other merchandise. Watching movies just because one of the cast members is in it. How could we forget the endless Subway sandwiches we ate? The yelling at the TV during Season 3. I thought about the friendships I have made. The Chuck fandom friends who actually get me and don’t stare at me like I am stupid when I go on and on about Charah’s relationship. Without Chuck I would have never heard about the nerd machine, never made a Tumblr, nor would I have ever actually used my Twitter account. As cheesy and lame as it sounds, my life was changed by Chuck. So Chuck fandom, here is to subway sandwiches, #notbeingaNielsenfamily, and not freaking out. To lasting relationships, staying nerdy, and just being awesome. To confusing the Geek Squad for the Nerd Herd and doing ‘the Morgan’ when you hear the word pineapple. To shaking your head at Jeffster’s antics and eating cheeseballs when depressed. We’ll always have Omaha (even though we still don’t know what it means) The show might be ending, but we will never forget it. We will just follow the actors as they continue with their careers. Never forgetting the show that brought us together. :)
